IDF M14 Sniper Rifle

The IDF M14 sniper rifle is an American made 7.62 mm magazine-fed, gas operated rifle designed primarily for semi-automatic fire although it can shoot in automatic.  The M14 is a 7.62 mm selective fire automatic rifle that fires 7.62×51mm NATO (.308 Winchester) ammunition. It was in general US military service from 1959 until 1970 when it was replaced by the M16.  The M14 was introduced to the Israeli military in 1973 during the Yom Kippur War replacing the Mauser K98 sniper rifle, and was used as a sniper rifle until the late 1990’s.  In 1997 it was replaced by the M24 which became the standard IDF sniper rifle in regular infantry units.  The IDF M14 sniper rifle is still used in the Israel Defense Forces especially in reserve units and in law enforcement.  The IDF M14 Sniper Rifle that we offer are all from surplus, many of them have a heightened cheek rest accessory on the buttstock so that the shooting eye will be aligned with the barrel for increased accuracy and shooting comfort.  Some of the rifles have an X marking on their body indicating that a confirmed kill was made with it.
